Creating Schools of the Future Community Forum

 

On June 16, 2018, Alachua County Public Schools held the first of three community forums focused on the district's current facilities crisis and how to address it, including the half-cent sales tax that will be on the ballot in November. The first meeting covered the needs at the schools east of Gainesville's Main Street, including those in Hawthorne. Future forums will address schools in other parts of the county.
 
On this site you'll find links to some of the information presented at the first meeting and links to the facilities needs list by school. Video highlights of the forum, a summary of the input provided by participants and a list of questions and answers will be added in the next few days.
