How Do I Become a Substitute?

We are always looking for new passionate substitutes at the Alma School District, and we're glad you are interested!

To apply, you must have a high school diploma.  You will also be required to pass a background check.

We are actively seeking Certified substitutes.  These are substitutes that hold an active teaching license in the state of Arkansas.  Substitutes are not required to have a teaching certificate, but those with an active license will receive a higher rate of pay.

Current rate of pay for Alma School District teaching substitutes is:

$70 - non-certified

$80 - certified

To apply to be a substitute please contact our administration office for a substitute packet. We will have substitute training on August 12th from 8:30-11:30 for our 2016-17 school year.

To apply to be an Alma School District substitute bus driver, nurse, or food service worker, please pick up an application packet at the District Administration office located at 916 Hwy. 64 East.

If you have questions, you may contact the Administration office at (479) 632-4791.
