SAT Prep Starts Early at Heritage

Because college preparation is paramount at our school, success on the SAT cannot be overlooked. SAT scores can range from 30 to 50  percent of a college’s admission decision. It is unfortunate when a high-performing student is held back from the college of his/her choice because of this very challenging standardized test.

At American Heritage School, we take an aggressive and proactive step towards SAT success by using the NEW ENGLAND PREP system of readiness. The approach is unique, and it is not a crash course.

Through this program, all high school students receive video instruction by Ray Dass, the nation's leading expert in test preparation. Students receive his instruction 20 minutes per week in their English and math classes over a three-year period.

Using this cumulative program, your child will be exposed to strategies for the test consistently and slowly. Research has shown that this approach yields the best retention and results on the SAT.

In addition to the English and math course work offered at school, The NEW ENGLAND PREP program in its entirety includes thousands of diagnostic questions with video explanations of each answer by Harvard graduates; ACT strategies and lessons; and helpful college guidance videos by Harvard graduates and private school Guidance Counselor and administrator Elise Ackerman.
