Welcome to fantastic, fabulous, fun first grade!   I am looking forward to being with each of my first grade students for some of the longest days in their little lives!  It is a big transition from kindergarten to first grade and my goal is to make it as happy and smooth as possible.

 We will learn so much this year.  In first grade our main focus is on spelling, reading and math.  The highlight for me is our wonderful literature curriculum.  We will delight in “Pinocchio” and “Charlotte’s Web” and experience early American History from a biography of Abigail Adams.  We will learn beautiful poetry culminating with “The Lamb” by William Blake.

I will do all I can to help your student have a successful year.  Thank you for your trust in me.  With your help and prayers, I know 2010-2011 will be a great year!
