It's our Grand Slam year!

What does that mean?

In baseball, a grand slam is when the bases are loaded and a batter hits a homerun, scoring 4 points for the team. It's an exciting event and always draws a lot of cheering and energy from the crowd. Just as a "perfect game" is the goal for a pitcher, a batter's goal is a grand slam!

Here at Beardslee, our "grand slam" means that our students are successful in 4 main areas:

  1. Giving 100% effort every day
  2. Having excellent attendance
  3. Completing all of his/her homework and classwork
  4. Believing in himself/herself

We believe that if our students can accomplish those 4 things, we will have a grand slam year here at Beardslee and our crowd (you, the parents) will go wild over our success!

Go Beardslee Bears!!!
