My name is Brittany Reed, and I am extremely excited about being the School Counselor at Bethel Manor Elementary School. Our school is very unique, because we serve 100% military children! I am privileged to serve students who share their parents with the entire U.S.A!
This is my 6th year as a School Counselor. I am originally from South Carolina were I counseled students in grades 9th -12th. I have also counseled middle students at Queens Lake Middle School in York County. This is my third year at Bethel Manor Elementary School! I graduated from Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina with my undergraduate degree. Then I earned my Masters of Education degree in Counselor Education from South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
As a School Counselor, it is my priority to support the academic, personal/social, and career planning of all students. To ensure that the mission is fulfilled I conduct: classroom counseling lessons at least once a month, small group sessions, individual counseling sessions, parent consultations, and teacher consultations.
Some of the small groups that are available are:
Military Kids Group- A deployment group designed for students with a deployed parent.
Random Acts of Kindness- A group that promotes kindness and building social skills for healthy and happy friendships.
Boy Cave- A group designed to enhance self-esteem.
Girl Power- A group designed to enhance self-esteem.
I am also the school contact person for York County's PEP/EXTEND or gifted education program.
Please feel free to call me at 757-867-7498 or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or concerns.
Have a wonderful day,
Mrs. Brittany Reed
