Come by the library to learn about Code.org.  This website has fun, self-paced courses that teach computer coding. The courses have fun puzzles featuring favorite game characters, such as Angry Birds and Plants vs Zombies. Code.org was created for all learners, even those who are just learning to read.

According to Code.org, America will need many more computer scientists and coders if we are to keep up with industry demand. “Computer Science is a top paying college degree, and computer programming jobs are growing at 2X the national average.” (Code.org)

Code.org courses are free, and students can sign up for them through Ms. Harker or with a valid email account. This website would be a great way to learn while on summer break!
