Danny Erickson has completed his 26th year as CHS Head Boys’ Soccer Coach. The 2018 team posted a record of 10-5-4, earning 2nd place in the Hock Davenport division, and earning a #5 seed in the MIAA tournament before falling to a tough Dartmouth squad.
During his tenure the team has qualified for 20 state tournament bids including 19 of the past 22 seasons. 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2006 and 1997 Hock Championships, the 2010 South Sectional Championship, and trips to the South Sectional Final in 2010, 2007 and 2002 highlight the team's accomplishments during Erickson's tenure. The team has advanced to at least the Sectional Semi-Final round 7 of the past 13 seasons and has amassed a record of 144-63-49 during that run of success.
A 1989 graduate of CHS, Erickson played two years of soccer for the St. Anselm Hawks before transferring to Stonehill College. He received Eastern Massachusetts Coach of the Year honors for the outstanding 2006 and 1997 seasons and earned the Boston Globe Coach of the Year honors for the spectacular 2010 season. The team’s record under Erickson is 249-159-93. He holds his NSCAA Advanced National Coaching diploma. He has been the Director of Athletics at CHS since 2004. He served as a social studies teacher at CHS from 1995-2016. Thousands of Canton's young soccer players have gotten to know Erickson at Canton Soccer School, his annual summer soccer camp. In 2014, Erickson was inducted into the Massachusetts Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame.

Douglas Murray has complted his first season as assistant coach for the Varsity squad. Muarry is a member of the CHS graduating classs of 2007. He captained the Bulldogs to their first league title in a decade in 2006 where he earned Hock MVP and All-New England honors. Murray has since graduated from Northeastern University where he studied to become a physical therapist.
Bonnie Bousquet joined the staff for the 2017 season as the head JV coach. Bousquet is a Wellness teacher at CHS. She has an extensive soccer background including playing at Western New England College during her collegiate days.
Jake Shapiro and Dylan Rankin- Shapiro and Rankin are volunteering to help with the varsity team yet again for the 2018 season with a focus on goalkeeper training. Shapiro- a CHS graduate in 2007- assisted with the squad last year and brought with him a passion and great knowledge of the game. Rankin was a teammate of Shapiro's at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was the team's starting goalkeeper.
