Mrs. Keane has been employed with Brevard Public Schools for 28 years. She was a classroom teacher for grades 2, 3, 4 & 5 for the first 16 years of her career. She has been an administrator for 12 years, of which the last 7 years have been at Cape View. Her husband was a teacher at Cape View from 2001-2004 and her daughter, Ashley, attended school K-6 at Cape View. Her Bachelor’s Degree is in Elementary Education and she has a Master’s from Nova Southeastern in Educational Leadership.
Although Mrs. Keane grew up in Illinois, she has lived in Cocoa Beach with her husband, Dan Keane for the past 31 years. She loves working with the students, families and community of Cape Canaveral. If you are new to the school or have never met the principal, please feel free to stop in and say hello or set up a time to meet her and get to know what the school is all about.
Mrs. Brooks has worked for Brevard County Public Schools for 28 years and her dedication and love for Cape View Elementary School in Cape Canaveral has made Cape View her home for every one of those 28 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education in 1987 and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 2004 both from the University of Central Florida. She is certified in Elementary Education, Specific Learning Disabilities, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
Mrs. Brooks has held many positions at Cape View Elementary. These include general education classroom teacher, Title 1 Coordinator, Elementary Specialist, and exceptional education teacher. Mrs. Brooks was promoted to Assistant Principal in 2013 and is looking forward to another challenging, yet rewarding year at Cape View.
