The Mayan

For the second semester of our gifted class we will be focusing on other ancient civilizations. We will start with the Mayan of Mexico, learning about their calendar, counting system and the impact they have on today's society.

Our goal will be to understand the historical interpretations of how they impact us today.

We are currently working on a three-week lesson, which encompasses Mayan trade, urbanization and mapping. The students will be researching these fields in order to prepare a presentation to the class. This collaborative effort will be done through the BPS share cloud.
