Health Information from the Nurse
State law requires that all students in grades seven and nine receive a vision, hearing, and postural(scoliosis) screening.
Therefore,we begin to screen students at Cathedral High School in September and into October.
If you DO NOT want your child to be included in the screenings,please, SEND a letter to the Health Office,as soon as possible.

The dental hygienists will come to CHS on Tuesday, February 9,2016. If you want your son/ daughter to participate, please contact me and I will send you a dental form to complete and return.
The flu vaccine for the year 2015-2016 is available at most clinics and doctor's offices.If you require or want a flu shot,contact your doctor.
Remember that the flu vaccine is a combination of the seasonal flu vaccine and the H1N1 vaccine. The Public Health Department is strongly advising that all young children, students and adults receive the flu vaccine.
It takes 2 weeks for protection to develop from the vaccine.
This is the time of year that various illnesses occur like colds and flu. Please stay hydrated and eat and sleep properly. Eat well by consuming vegetables and fruit on a daily basis. Sleep at least eight hours every night.
Stay hydrated by drinking at least 6-8 glasses of water, daily.
