PTA Reflections Contest quotWithin Reachquot

PTA Reflections Contest - "Within Reach"

Program Coordinators: Mrs. Jae Sugino and Mrs. Cindy Young

The PTA Reflections Program challenges students to create art inspired by a specific theme.  The 2017-2018 theme is “Within Reach”.

Program Overview:

In this contest, students will express their artistic abilities through words, pictures, music, dance, and other art forms.  They learn to analyze their thoughts, feelings, and ideas; learn to look at things, people, and experiences in a fresh and exciting way; and become more interested in the ideas and works of others.

The PTA Reflections Program is designed to enhance quality arts education by providing an opportunity for students to explore their artistic talents by creating works of arts for fun and recognition. Students may submit works in any of six arts areas:

Dance Choreography               Literature             Photography

Musical Composition              Visual Arts           Film Production

Judging Process:

Entries are judged by members in the community. First place winners in each category go on to compete at the district, county, state and possibly even national level! Entries won at the district level will be contacted directly by the district chairperson.

How To Enter:

Entrants must submit their artwork AND student entry form to the school office by November 1, 2017.  Entrants must follow requirements and instructions specific to each arts category and division.

Official rules for each category and Local Student Entry Form can be found in the school office and here
