Dear Parents,

          I want to welcome your child to my class this year.  I am very excited about beginning a new year.  As your child’s teacher, it is my job to make sure each student has an opportunity to grow and learn in my classroom.  I will provide an environment where each child can feel welcome, safe, successful and excited in their own learning.  Second grade is a transitional year academically, but with hard work, I know that each of your children can succeed in making personal growth.  I will utilize a variety of instructional strategies that will provide fun and challenging opportunities for your child.  We will be learning skills that will leave your child well prepared for the challenges of the up-coming years.  Please join me in making this year your child’s best year ever!

          The LCS Handbook found in our child’s planner contains much of the information about the procedures and policies of our school.  Please read the handbook and discuss it with your child.
