Testing

Throughout one’s education, a student will take numerous standardized tests. In high school, this continues. These tests can help students understand more about themselves, suggest where they need possible extra assistance, provide an idea on how they compare to others across the nation, and even supply possible career options. Regardless of the examination, to best help the student, each should be taken seriously.

PARCC - This is not a test for high school students anymore

Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations  are taken throughout high school:

These exams, administered in May, are designed to test students in the content area of their AP courses. Many universities grant college credit to students who score a 4 or 5 out of 5. AP scores are not used in admission decisions. Colleges may have limits to the number of credits they may give to a student from AP exams. Because AP scores are not accepted by all colleges, students should check with their schools of choice before taking the exams.
