The Instrument Petting Zoo is Tuesday, March 28!
The Grafton Middle Band will hold its annual Instrument Petting Zoo on Tuesday, March 28 from 4:30 to 7 pm. The event is for students who are interested in becoming members of beginning band in the school year 2017-2018. We will have a staff of professional musicians assisting students with exploring the instruments. Instruments include Flute, Oboe, Bb Clarinet, Alto Sax, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium and Percussion. Attendance at the event does not obligate students to participate in band.
Interested students and their families may arrive anytime between 4:30-7 pm and register at the main entrance of GMS. Students should try at least three instruments. The process takes about 45 minutes. Students may try all instruments if they wish. When students have finished trying instruments, they will check out and tell the band directors their top two choices for an instrument. These choices are not final and will be confirmed with students in September.
Students who cannot attend the petting zoo will have the band directors assist them with selecting an instrument during band class in September.
