Each year the students at Garden Gate have the option to participate in a Read-A-Thon program. It encourages our students to develop long lasting reading habits.
This year's program will run from October 17th - May 18th, with a theme of "Dive Into a Good Book". The chart shown on the left will be displayed in our library and students, teachers and parents can watch the progress of our readers at Garden Gate.
As part of the Garden Gate School "Green Program", this year's Read-a-Thon student information will be submitted online. We estimate we will save over 3,000 copies, saving paper and other costs for our school.
Please return to this page (under Student Life) each month, select your student's class from the list below and submit the Read-a-Thon information for your student. The information will be automatically sent to the Garden Gate Librarian for inclusion in our Read-a-Thon program. 4th and 5th Grade students will track their results as part of classroom activities.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Gokhale at 408 252 5414 x 150 or by email from this link.
