GHS Dress Code Policy Update

Grafton High School Dress Code Policy Update:

 

 A student’s dress and appearance shall be such that it does not cause a disruption, distract others from the educational process, or create a health or safety problem.  Students must comply with specific building dress regulations of which [students] will be given prior notice.

 

Problem Areas (updates are bolded)

 

  •  Hats and head coverings are not to be worn during school hours.
  • No clothing containing inappropriate language/messages is allowed.
  • No tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, or off-the-shoulder tops are allowed.
  • 4 inches above the knee is a MINIMUM Guide for shorts/skirts.
  • Clothes should not be too tight, too short, or too revealing.
  • No undergarments should ever be visible.
  • Pants should be worn at the waist, preferably with a belt.
  • Yoga pants/tights should be worn with a garment that comes no more than 4 inches above the knee.

 

*Parents- please be advised that students who violate the dress code will be sent to ATS to call home for proper attire and may be subject to additional disciplinary action.
