The Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) certification is an industry recognized credential that demonstrates proficiency in Adobe digital communication tools, including Adobe Photoshop®, Adobe Illustrator® & Adobe InDesign®

 

In today’s digital economy, colleges & employers are looking for talented individuals who can prove they possess digital media skills.  Students can earn money with these skills in a job or on a freelance basis. 

 

The Adobe Certified Associate program prepares students for further studies, builds resumes & strengthens portfolios. Careers in this industry are in demand & relatively high paying. The better the skills the higher the pay. Many jobs are project based & as soon as skills are acquired students can start earning money part-time.

 

 

This 3 year program prepares students for careers in Graphic Design& Production, Digital Art, Illustration & Animation, Marketing & Advertising, Printing & related opportunities. 

 

Earning an ACA certification proves that a student is academically & professionally prepared for success in the creative field. In fact, many colleges & universities award academic credit to Adobe Certified Associate students.

 

Each year an Industry Certification is available in one of the software applications. A student who completes the entire Commercial Art Technology Program will graduate with 3 Industry Certifications.

 

Students will learn the basics of the programs and how they are used day to day in the real world.

 

Students in All Levels will learn the Principles & Elements of Design, Copyright Rules & Project Management Best Practices.

 

Students in Level 1 (Grade 9/10) - Photoshop - will learn to work with photos and bitmaps. They will create marketing tools such as website elements, movie posters, brochures, flyers & magazine covers.

 

Students in Level 2 (Grade 10/11) - Illustrator - will learn about vector art. They will create logos, typography, letterhead, business cards, t-shirts & more.

 

Students in Level 3 (Grade 11/12) - InDesign - will learn how to import assets created in Photoshop and Illustrator, into InDesign to create catalogs, magazines, books, planners & other print materials.
