Dear Parents/Guardians:

If you attended Open House this past September, you know that HLJ performed extremely well as measured by FCAT. We earned a total of 668 FCAT points for school year 2010~2011. In Palm Beach County, HLJ is ranked number five out of 107 Elementary Schools and number 10 out of 187 total schools (elementary, middle and high combined). Last week, Florida Education Commissioner, Gerard Robinson, released the state rankings. I am proud to announce that HLJ is ranked number 60 out of 1795 elementary schools in the State of Florida.

This success is the result of strategic teamwork. HLJ is very fortunate to enjoy staff longevity. Our teachers are committed to living our legacy and growing our own. Teachers work closely with students and parents and develop individual plans for students that are struggling to perform on grade level. Additionally, we have a great group of kind and respectful students that work very hard academically. Lastly, we enjoy outstanding parental support in all that we do for children.
