2.    Professional Development - District certified staff and members of the Professional Development Committee will plan and provide professional development initiatives designed to help teachers provide students with best practices in instruction.  This will include areas of literacy, numeracy, high school redesign, assessment, technology, RTI, induction of new staff and the investigation of new models of delivery.

3.    Technology - The Board of Education and district staff, while acknowledging budgetary constraints, will ensure resources are in place to enable staff and students to meet the technology needs, achieve district goals, improve data management, and improve the integration of technology into the curriculum.

4.    Facilities - The Board of Education and district staff will examine existing facilities to determine short range needs;  and assess the community’s willingness to support a bond referendum to consider long range needs with respect to age and condition of buildings, community access, district demographics, early childhood programmatic needs and the impact on teaching and learning.

5.    Budget and Finance - The Board of Education and District staff, with respect and recognition for long-standing community support, will continue to examine ways to maintain district programs and services, and explore opportunities for shared services, during times of new regulations and the uncertainty and transition in state funding.

6.    Community - The Board of Education and District staff will enable parent and community involvement and opportunities to share new initiatives intended:  to increase accessibility to district and student information through Edline;  to inform parents and staff in a timely manner in the event of community or weather crises through the Global Connect emergency notification system;  to continue shared services with the municipality, including the “Haddon Press;”  and to evaluate the community’s interest in a bond referendum to support building needs and assess the feasibility of an early childhood and community center.

7.    Governance - In recognition of new and existing state law and code, The Board of Education will review and update policies and procedures and participate in a self-assessment as required to maintain compliance with NJQSAC regulations.

8.    Preparing for the Future – Legacy - The Board of Education and district staff, parents, students, and community will review the Goals and develop plans and activities to ensure and sustain a “Haddon Township Education.”
