The PARCC tests are high quality, computer-based K–12 assessments in Mathematics and English Language Arts/Literacy. They are carefully crafted to give teachers, schools, students, and parents better and more useful information on how we’re preparing our kids for their futures. The PARCC assessments will be ready for states to administer during the 2014-15 school year.
PARCC stands for the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC). The first assessments were field tested in the spring of 2014. For more information, visit the PARCC Field Test site.
The PARCC assessment will replace the ISAT and be aligned to the more rigorous Common Core State Standards that Illinois adopted in 2010. For more information about the Common Core, visit the Illinois State Board of Education site.
