Welcome to the Holbrook School website. The Holbrook School is a wonderful community that services students in grades five through eight from the communities of Clifton, Eddington and Holden. The culture of the Holbrook School is uniquely focused on the specific needs of our 11 to 14 year old student population. Our “Core Values” can be found posted on the walls and heard in classrooms on a daily basis. Ideals, such as honesty, respect, responsibility, kindness, compassion and courage act as the guiding principles for our students, staff and community. We currently have a student population of approximately 275 students and a staff of 35 teachers and support staff. Students are offered a wide range of co-curricular opportunities, such as traditional middle school sports, seasonal intramurals, student council, math team, gymnastics, band, chorus, drama and a variety of clubs (Art, French, Chess, Lego, Book, Holbrook helpers, Big buddies) among others. Traditionally, about 90% of our student population becomes involved in one or more activities outside of their academic responsibilities during the year. Our mission is to develop well-rounded, academically prepared and socially responsible young people. We believe you’ll find our curriculum to be challenging and nurturing when appropriate. As Mahatma Gandhi said, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” Again, welcome to the Holbrook School community and best wishes for a healthy 2016-2017 school year!
