Course Scheduling

The course selection process begins early in the second semester.  Students seek information about course selection from teachers, counselors and parents.  Course placement is based on a review of achievement, aptitude and student motivation.  Courses that need approval must have teacher signatures.  The course selection forms must be returned with appropriate signatures from parents and teachers.  Final approval for all course selections and levels is the responsibility of the Guidance Counselors, Academic Dean and Principal.

Work begins on Master Schedule for the next academic year.

Early May

 

Students? last opportunity to request schedule changes.

End of May

 

Student schedule conflicts are worked through guidance department.

1st Week of  June

 

Master Schedule distributed to Faculty for final adjustments.

2nd Week of June

Schedules for following year distributed to

students - some adjustments will be made over the summer to balance the number of students in each section and/or to accommodate changes in teachers.

First day of school

Copies of schedules distributed to all students.

There is a 2 week window in which to make schedule adjustments.
