HUMAN RESOURCES
The legacy of any school district’s human resource department is the quality of the employees hired to serve its students. Improvements in a district are made one hire at a time. The Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD) is considered one of the premier school districts in the state and in the nation, offering a world class educational program and graduating students that are prepared for all phases of their life journey.
The guiding light of the ICCSD Human Resources Department is embedded in the District’s Mission Statement: “The mission of the Iowa City Community School District is to ensure all students become responsible, independent learners capable of making informed decisions in a democratic society as well as in the dynamic global community; this is accomplished by challenging each student with a rigorous and creative curriculum taught by a diverse, professional, caring staff strengthened by collaborative partnerships with families and the entire community.” Every staff member, certified or support, must understand their role in the educational process of a child.
