We have 4 dual language classes in our building, two of which are for special education students and two of which are "Preschool For All" classrooms. In these classes, native Spanish speakers learn in an environment that values their first language as they acquire their second.
Dual language is a form of bilingual education in which students are taught literacy and content in two languages.
Dual language programs foster bilingualism, bi-literacy, enhanced awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity, and high levels of academic achievement through instruction in two languages.
