Teacher Grant Program

Teacher Grant Program

Printable Application

Program Description:

The Lacey High School PTSA has earmarked a portion of the money it raises to fund enrichment projects proposed by its teacher members.  Potential projects should enhance the current curriculum and student development and cannot already be part of the current school budget.  In general, funds will be used for start-up, pilot projects or special events on a one-time basis and must be used during the current school year. The goal of the program is to fund or subsidize numerous projects covering the widest possible scope and number of students. As a result, projects may be competing for the money available. For that reason, the PTSA reserves the right to select among projects that best represent the curriculum across departments and grades. The maximum grant awarded to a project is $500.00; there is no minimum amount to allow for smaller worthwhile purchases/projects.

The program has been expanded this year and the PTSA will be offering a total of five grants: two in the amount of $500, and three in the amount of $200. Only current LTHS PTSA member teachers may apply.

The approval process takes at least 30 days to complete. The Grant Committee will review all completed applications. The Committee may request additional information or ask for clarification. If other funding sources are being sought simultaneously, the applicant should keep the PTSA leadership abreast of any additional monies received.

All proposals should be placed in the LTHS PTSA mailbox for processing. The deadline is November 15.  Please email lthsptsa@hotmail.com to let us know that you have submitted your application.

Costs cannot be paid by direct reimbursement, ONLY BY INVOICE OR PROOF OF PURCHASE. Checks to individuals will not be written without receipts. There will be no reimbursement for sales tax. Lacey High School's PTSA tax-free ID number is available for all purchases. Please submit Request for Reimbursement form to the Lacey PTSA Treasurer.
