In preparation for the 2012-2013 school year, Superintendent Bill Korach has announced the following secondary school administrative appointments:
- Lakeridge High School: As has been previously announced, current Waluga principal Jennifer Schiele will be the new principal at Lakeridge High School following the retirement of Dr. Mike Lehman at the end of the 2011-12 school year. Current Waluga/LOJHS vice principal John Parke will be moving to Lakeridge with Jenn Schiele to serve as vice principal.
- Waluga Junior High School: Dave Lovelin, current vice principal at Lake Oswego High School, will be the new principal at Waluga Junior High. Dave has been with the district since 2005, and is in his fifth year as the LOHS vice principal.
Michael Esping will complete the administrative team at Waluga. Michael has been with the district since 2005, and served as principal at Oak Creek Elementary and Palisades Elementary before assuming his current role as vice principal at Waluga and LOJHS this year.
- Lake Oswego High School: Jason Wold, current vice principal at Lakeridge High School, will be the new vice principal at Lake Oswego High School. Jason has been with the district since 2004, and has been in his current role at Lakeridge since 2007.
- Lake Oswego Junior High School: Nancy Verstegen, current principal at River Grove Elementary, will be the new vice principal at LOJHS. Nancy has been with the district since 2003, and is completing her seventh year as River Grove principal.
“These assignments are being announced at this time so that our administrators can be involved in planning for the changes coming next year,” said Superintendent Korach. “Outgoing and incoming administrators will be working with staff, parents, and students in the coming months to begin developing relationships and ensure smooth leadership transitions.”
