The Lakeridge High School counseling department's mission is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that supports all students. Counselors teach students skills that support academic success, social/emotional wellness, community/service involvement, and college/career readiness. The program develops lifelong learners with critical thinking skills, while ensuring student safety, equity and access to education.

We believe that to be an effective school counseling program we must
adhere to the American School Counselor Association’s (ASCA) ethical
guidelines and standards.
Students are assigned to one of three counselors based on the student's last name. Students will stay with their counselor through all four years of their high school careers. Lakeridge also has a full-time freshman transition specialist and academic support coordinator who works in conjunction with the other counselors.
