The core belief of the Dual Language Program is to value each individual and his or her culture and language. The program itself provides tools and the environment in which individuals are being nurtured, offered opportunities for development of strong skills and proficiency in the student’s first and second language. As a result of that, a student becomes bilingual, biliterate and bicultural with all these three areas of development valued equally.
Laurel Hill Elementary School offers "one-way" dual language to Spanish-speaking students in kindergarten through fourth grade. For more information about the district's dual language program, visit the English Language Learners Department website.
