Mars Area School District offers daily breakfast and lunch in every school. Lunch prices for the 2012-2013 school year are $2.50 for elementary students and $2.75 for secondary students. The cost for breakfast is $1 for all students. The a la carte milk price is 60 cents.

The District participates in the National School Lunch Program which offers discounted or free meals to eligible families. Applications for the program are distributed during the first week of school. All children approved for free or reduced-price meals the previous year are automatically eligible for the first month of the next school year.
