Enrichment Activities
Student Council 

Students participating in the Student Council meet twice a month at 2:30 and work on projects to help make the school a better place to be. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Alegria. 

Youth Advisory Council

The Youth Advisory Council is led by Mrs. Escobedo and students are learning about good nutrition and will be promoting this with others in the school. They meet in the mornings. 

Folkloric Dancers

Folkloric Dancers - Later in the school year the first grade students will begin practicing the folk dances for special presentations.

Read 180

Students participating in the Read 180 program meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 - 4:00. Teachers in charge of the program have provided students with monthly calendars showing the different sessions. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Escobedo or Mrs. Alegria.

Early Birds

Some teachers allow the students to come in early in the morning for help with homework. Check with your child's teacher or watch for notes coming from school.

Early Literacy Clubs

The following teachers are providing literacy activities for students in kindergarten through 2nd grade:  Mrs. Jowaski, Mrs. Loredo, Mrs. Weckerly, Mrs. Bobik, Mrs. Appleton, Mrs. Munoz-Levandowski and Mr. Martinez. Each teacher will notify parents of any opportunities.

Math Clubs

Ms. Chamorro and Mrs. Fedor are currently offering a math club.

Fitness Club

Mrs. Quintanilla is offering a fitness club for her students through Title III funding. These students have a goal of participating in the Elgin Fox Trot.

Imagine Learning Club

Students participate in this computer based literacy intervention three days a week early in the morning lead by Mrs. Alegria.
