All library books are due now and fines need to be paid. And All EFSC textbooks are due NOW!.
There is an important meeting this afternoon at 3:30 in room N132A, for any student who is interested in participating in Girls Basketball next year
Anyone interested in competing in cross country next year needs to stop by Coach Campbell’s room 17-213 for information. The First official practice is July 30, 3:30pm at the stadium. The MIHS athletic packet needs to be completed in order to participate.
Anyone interested in the swim and dive team next year, there will be an informational meeting and pool party this Wed, May 16th at the pool. See Coach Zieres in the media center for more info.
Attention all wrestlers, please stop by Coach Smith’s classroom after school on Wednesday for information on summer camps and training
The “Who We Play For” heart screenings are tomorrow after school. This is a free, quick, and painless screening that can detect a heart abnormality. The consent forms are in the front office.
There is a mandatory meeting for all returning NHS members this Friday at 8:20 in the cafeteria. Please be prompt!
If you will be driving to school next year, you need to bring your driver’s license and vehicle registration to the front office to preregister for your parking spot for next year. The office will be doing a parking lot lottery at the end of June for those who have preregistered. If you get your license over the summer, please bring it in to preregister for a spot.
Attention Class of 2019 – The prime parking spot auction is going on now thru May 23rd. You will need your license and registration card to sign up for a spot and then you can bid on one of the prime spots. See Ms. Beal in the front office to bid. Please be aware that the money you bid is above and beyond your $20.00 registration fee for a senior spot.
Attention Dual Enrollment students: You must make an appointment with your Merritt Island Counselor in order to complete the registration forms for EFSC classes this Summer and Fall. Registration at EFSC is underway, so don’t delay!! Once you have your EFSC schedule, please bring a copy with your book list attached to the Media Center!
Students: Anything in your Z drive will be removed this summer. Copy it to a jump drive or an online service.
Seniors: Your Google Docs account will be removed upon graduation. Also, If you leave Brevard County Schools your Google drive gets removed. See directions on the school website under News to save these files.
Seniors—listen up for multiple announcements—
If you haven’t picked up your VIP tickets – Please do so NOW in the front office! If you have any outstanding requirements that are holding up your tickets and graduation- You must See Ms. Tournade or Ms. Small to get an Orange Status form to be completed before tickets are given to you and graduation happens!
Class night is Thursday, May 17 at 6:00 in the auditorium. Seniors should be in F-wing by 5:45 in cap and gown. Parents and guests are welcome, and there is a reception afterward in the cafeteria.
Senior Breakfast is Fri, May 18 @ 9:00 in the cafeteria. MANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE will immediately follow breakfast.
Graduation is Friday, May 18 @ 7:00pm at the stadium. ALL SENIORS are to be in the cafeteria by 6:15 in their cap and gown.
One more thing, seniors--There will be a job fair May 24 from 2 to 6pm at the school board office in Viera for 2018 graduates. You will have the opportunity to meet and interview with local employers. See the guidance office for more information.
Seniors, please remember to cash out your lunch accounts before graduation. See Ms. Morosoff in the cafeteria to receive funds remaining on your prepaid account. Also, remind your parents to stop the auto-pay reload feature. Funds will not be able to be refunded over the summer.
