Please be advised that there will NOT be a coat check room at this year’s Homecoming Dance. We will NOT have access to a room to allow for this convenience. Students should leave any/all personal item in a locked car. MIHS will NOT be responsible for any personal items (Phones, shoes, keys etc.) lost at the dance.


Attention present or future volleyball fans!  Please come out Tuesday night at 7 p.m. to support your lady mustang volleyball team as they play Bishop Moore in the region semi final!  We are doing a black out game.  Tickets are $7, but we will be selling them at lunch on Monday and Tuesday for $3!  Again, please buy your tickets at lunch next Monday and Tuesday for $3 or they will be $7 at the door.  We are four games away from a state championship and we need our mustang family there to cheer us on!! 


ALL Collegiate and Dual Enrollment Students:  EFSC appointments are presently in process for Spring 2019 course registration. Advising appointments must be made for October 29 or after. If you prefer, walk-in’s are available on a first come, first-served basis starting on Monday, November 5, 2018.  PLEASES NOTE that EFSC CLASSES START ON MONDAY, JANUARY 7, 2019, THREE days before BPS (Brevard Public Schools) and MIHS.  This means the media center MUST have your EFSC schedule and booklist no later than Dec. 7th.  Please meet with your guidance counselor NOW to ensure you have the appropriate EFSC Registration paperwork, course requirements and signatures PRIOR to meeting with the EFSC Advisor.


During the Food Drive Oct 24th – Nov 7th, the media center will be taking canned food donations for fines owed!  One can equals one dollar!  See Ms Zieres or Ms McDede for more details!  This is a great way to clean your slate and help fill someone’s plate!


Girls Basketball tryouts will take place on Monday October 29 at 6pm in the Merritt Island Gymnasium. There will be a brief meeting immediately after school Friday October 26, in room 17-105 for all prospective players.


Juniors, are you ready for Class Bash??  Junior Class officers will be taking orders for class tshirts Wed and Thursday during both lunches in front of the media center.  Tshirts are $10.  Don’t be left out of the blue crew!!


Our Senior Picture deadline is fast approaching; all Senior Pictures, for the yearbook, must be taken by November 1st.  Buy soon!  Buy now, as yearbook prices will increase, again, on October 27th.  Go to Jostens.com to order your yearbook now!  Seniors, the deadline to submit your money and information for a senior ad and/or kindergarten picture is November 16th.  Seniors, Senior Directory information forms are due by November 16th.  All forms may be picked up in the front office.
