Wellness Coordinator Message – Tanya Zakall                                                        I wanted to take a moment to reflect on this last few months that I've been in the Wellness position and share what has happened within the school.

Since January there have been a few presenters such as MADD Canada, Leanne Wildeman from The Lloydminster Interval Home who presented specific topics to each grade, such as healthy relationships, self-esteem and friendships. Malcolm Radke from The Lloydminster Health Foundation joined us during our wellness week to teach us yoga and mindfulness and a member of the RCMP assisted in our bike rodeo. I did several in class presentations such as germs/handwashing (which most parents heard about from their children), Zones of Regulation which is a social thinking program, and the rainbow food challenge was popular in elementary during wellness week.

In addition to these presentations, I spend time speaking with students who seek support. It has been a great year getting to know the students better through a different lense and being an essential part of the school.

I am available until June 28 if there are any issues that need attention and welcome anyone who may be in need of outside resources for the summer. I look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready to get back at it in the fall.

Thanks for this great year and enjoy your summer!

‘BACK TO SCHOOL SOLUTIONS” FOR FALL STUDENT SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Back to School Solutions is a company that provides a purchasing service for your Fall school supplies.  Each student has been sent a form home with the instructions and the list of school supplies needed for next school year on the back.  You are not in any way obligated to purchase your supplies through this company, but the parents who have in the past have been very pleased with the quality of the products and the ease of getting their supplies.  Instructions are on the form for ordering through the school or online.  Orders are delivered to the school before school starts for parent pickup and they contain name labels for all items.

If you are ordering through the school your order must be in by June 28th.  If ordering online you can order until August 4th.
