Welcome to the Ontarioville website. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I came to U-46 in 2013 as the Assistant Principal of Liberty Elementary School and in 2014 I became the Principal of Ontarioville. I have been an educator for over 20 years and have served in a variety of capacities on school sites and school district settings in California and Illinois. I started as an elementary school teacher in Pomona, CA and prior to coming to U-46, I was the Director of Technology and Learning in SD142 in Oak Forest, IL. Most of my university education was in southern California and I earned my doctoral degree from the University of Southern California, CA in 2010.
I was born and raised in Hong Kong and have been married for more than 20 years. We have one daughter and one son, our daughter is in college and our son is currently in high school. Both of them have been enrolled in the Spanish-English Dual Language Program since kindergarten and they continue to study Spanish in their respective academic settings.
I am very proud of OntarioviIle. It is a wonderful place where students, staff, and teachers embrace the core values of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Program (PBIS) by being responsible, respectful, and safe. This year our academic goal is to implement the Common Core Standards using the Eureka Math. Eureka Math is a curriculum that facilitates students to learn good problem solving skills and understand the power of mathematics. Our goal is to prepare our students to be successful in college and the 21st Century workplace.
I am honored to have the privilege to serve the students and community of Ontarioville. I am excited to get to know you and your child so please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to meeting you.
