This announcement is to clarify that the possession and/or use of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) is a contraband offense (Class D offense) in the Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR) Title 8 Chapter 19 Student Misconduct, Discipline, School Searches and Seizures, Reporting Offenses, Police Interviews and Arrests, and Restitution for Vandalism.  Consequently, a student in violation of this offense is subject to the disciplinary actions under the provisions of this chapter.
