Sometimes we all need to hit the reset button. A student asked me this week for some advice on how to improve their relationship with a teacher that they haven't connected with as of yet. My advice to that student was to hit the reset button. To let go of whatever hang ups were impeding the process and to make the effort to reach out to the teacher and seek common ground. Building a positive relationship takes effort from both parties, and I encourage students to make sure that they make that effort, because I want all of our students to enjoy the positive relationships here that they need to achieve success.
I am also hitting the reset button. This is my first post of the school year and I am going to make the effort to post something meaningful weekly. Here's hoping that I can do that, and that my words can help to build a positive relationship with you.
