Principal for a Day, or PFAD, gives community leaders a first-hand glimpse of what it is like to be a public school leader in this rich, diverse district of nearly 40,000 students. The program aims to help community leaders understand how U-46 operates and build long-term partnerships that will enrich the educational journey of students, educators and our community.
Guest principals immerse themselves in their school's
culture by greeting students, visiting special programs such as Dual Language classes and touring their school. This year, our elementary guest principals will get to enjoy time in our
Full-Day Kindergarten classrooms, perhaps catch a course for our gifted students at a middle school or sit in on any of our amazing nationally-accredited Career and Technical Education courses at one of our high schools. The possibilities are endless.
Many thanks to Marco, a leading technology services provider, for graciously supporting this event by covering lunch at Villa Olivia in Bartlett.
