I started my career in education at Western Michigan University, where I graduated with a B.A. in Education, Mathematics, and French. I taught in the Detroit area for two years. I started to work on my Masters of Science in Education at Wayne State University, and then I moved to Chicago and attended classes at St. Xavier University. I continued to teach in the primary grades then moved to Pennsylvania and finished my MSEd at St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY. There, I graduated summa cum laude and received the Administrator of the Year Award.
I was an Assistant Principal at a middle school for two years before my husband and I moved back to the Chicagoland area and I took a job as an administrator in the East Aurora School District 131. I worked in East Aurora for six years. I have had the privilege of serving as the Principal of Spring Trail Elementary since August 2011.
Spring Trail has the same vision and mission statements as our district. Our goal every day is to help students become college and career ready so they can then be informed, productive citizens. We team with our parents and community partners as we put our children first and strive for “Academic Success for All!”
