The Service Dog Project (SDP) provides a better quality of life for the mobility impaired. SDP has donated over 150 Great Danes as service dogs to individuals who have severe balance limitations. Preference is given to Veterans and their families. The Service Dog Project is a registered 501c3 and is fully accredited by Assistance Dogs International.

The SDP dogs have been placed with veterans, children, individuals with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Cerebral Palsy, Friedreich’s Ataxia and more. While each dog receives extensive training for balance, they like to consider their dogs well educated so once a dog is paired with an applicant the dog continues to adjust to the needs of their partner. Their Great Danes provide a valuable service and have enhanced the quality of life for their partners.

The National Junior Honor Society will be raising money for the Service Dog Project Inc. in Ipswich by selling little dog trinkets during snack for two weeks (4/2 - 4/13).
