Project Discover is a program that was established in 1991 to give assistance to students who may be experiencing academic difficulty. Project Discover staff work closely with the classroom teachers to help students function to their full potential in the classroom.
Who qualifies for Project Discover services?
To qualify for Project Discover service, the student must require support to achieve success in the classroom. The need is determined by evaluating achievement test scores, report card grades, and teacher recommendations.
How is help obtained from the public school system?
In instances of serious concerns, a parent conference should be scheduled with the classroom teacher and the Student Services Coordinator. All necessary paperwork required by the public school district for referrals for assistance must be coordinated by the Project Discover staff.
