A Temporary Farewell

 

Dear Parent and Guardians: Recently, Mr. Casey's spouse, Michele, was diagnosed with a serious illness. In order to properly attend to her needs, Mr. Casey will begin an extended absence under the Family Medical Leave Act effective March 1. His replacement for the duration of the year will be Mr. Joe DeFrancesco. Mr. DeFrancesco has served as a long-term substitute elsewhere in our diocese. He has been understudying Mr. Casey for the past few days. After interviewing Mr. DeFrancesco, we are confident that he will be an excellent addition and skilled educator for Mr. Casey's students.
 
At the same time, our hearts and prayers go out to the Casey family.
