Most people have heard about the respiratory virus that has been spreading throughout the midwest. It's official name is Enterovirus D68 or commonly referred to EV-D68. We would like to share some information about this virus, including two attachments. One attachment is about enterovirus in general and the other is specific to EV-D68.
Although the virus seems to spread easily and some people have become quite ill from it, so far, there have been no deaths reported from it.
Most hand sanitizers are not affective in killing the virus. The best means for preventing the spread of this virus is good hand washing.
Recommendations say that school age children with the virus may be in school as long as they feel well enough to be here. Our normal school exclusion policy will be enforced.
