PSAT Exam Information

Who will take the PSAT test?

All 10th grade students will take the PSAT/NMSQT test, as well as, most 11th grade students who have signed up to take the PSAT/NMSQT test with Donna Main in our Finance office.  If there is space available, 9th grade students who wish to take the PSAT/NMSQT test can sign-up on Oct. 6nd with Donna Main in the Finance Office.

 

What materials should students bring on PSAT/NMSQT test day?

*Place all materials to be brought into the exam in a see-through plastic, Ziploc baggie

* Two #2 pencils and a blue or black ink pen

* An approved calculator. Please ask your math teacher to check your calculator 

* Current and valid school identification card (or print out from office before the day of the test)

* Snack and label-less water bottle (clear) if desired

* Students must know their home address for receiving assessment results

 

*Please note:  No electronic devices are permitted in the testing areaThis includes, but is not limited to, cell phones, tablets, MP3 players, pagers, Smart watches, computers, hand-held computers, device or calculator with a QWERTY keypad, etc.  Please see an administrator if you have any questions.

 

Where do 10th Grade students take the PSAT/NMSQT test?

All 10th grade students will report directly to the MAC AUDITORIUM no later than 8:00am.

Students will attend their classes after the exam. See 10th grade schedule below:

 

10th Grade PSAT/NMSQT Exam Schedule

Location: MAC Auditorium

8:00 am:                     All 10th grade students report to the MAC

8:00am-8:30am:        Student check-in and seating

8:30am-8:45am:        Students fill in any necessary information on answer forms

8:45am-11:40am:      Students take the PSAT/NMSQT exam (2 hour and 55 min. block)

11:40am-12:00pm:    Exams are picked up and counted before students leave the MAC

12:00pm:                    Students will be excused for lunch which begins at 12 p.m.

1:05 pm-2:50 pm:     Students will resume their regular class schedule for periods 6 and 7

 

*Two 5-minute breaks are built into all PSAT/NMSQT testing times.

Where do 11th and 9th Grade students take the PSAT/NMSQT test?

11th/9th Grade PSAT/NMSQT Exam Schedule

Location: GYM

8:00 am:                     All 11th/9th grade students report to the GYM

8:00am-8:30am:        Student check-in and seating

8:30am-8:45am:        Students fill in any necessary information on answer forms

8:45am-11:40am:      Students take the PSAT/NMSQT exam (2 hour and 55 min. block)

11:40am-12:00pm:    Exams are picked up and counted before students leave the gym

12:00pm:                    Students will be excused for lunch which begins at 12 p.m.

1:05 pm-2:50 pm:     Students will resume their regular class schedule for periods 6 and 7

 

11:50 am:                   Students will be excused and brought into the quad area (supervised) until lunch begins at 12 p.m.

1:00 pm-2:50 pm:     Students will resume their regular class schedule for periods 6 and 7

 

*Two 5-minute breaks are built into all PSAT/NMSQT testing times.

 

 

 

 

This event occurs on a single day.
