| Bronxville School Foundation Grant Application 2012 The Bronxville School Foundation will consider funding grants that qualify under the following mission statement: The mission of The Bronxville School Foundation is to enhance the quality of public education in Bronxville by engaging the support and energies of educators, citizens, parents, students, and alumni. The Foundation will award grants for projects that will: · Strengthen the curriculum by serving as a catalyst for the development and promotion of innovative programs; · Support additional training for faculty members and enhance the educational resources available to them; · Provide financial assistance for special school facilities and equipment; and · Increase the community’s awareness and support for the School.
The Foundation is interested in funding grant requests that enrich the educational experience such as: curriculum enhancements and initiatives; pilot programs; technology; equipment; and guest lecturers.
Application forms are available in The Foundation office and can be filled out online on Edline via the school’s web site and submitted. Supplemental materials should be emailed or dropped off at the Foundation’s office.
Grants with a Technology Component: All grant requests with a technology component must be submitted to Linda McMann for her input relative to the school’s technology infrastructure and her department’s ability to support. She must also review budget quotes. Technology components to a grant request may include but are not limited to technology concepts, training and web services. Linda will work with applicant if necessary to finalize the technology component of the grant request. She must sign off on the application before submission to the Foundation. Please include the date of her approval on your grant request.
Grant Application Timetable: Friday, February 17, 2012 Technology Director Review Monday, March 5, 2012 Applications are due by 12:00 noon. Friday, May 11, 2012 Applicants will be informed by letter of the Foundation's decision. All awards are subject to School Board approval. Please respond to all questions in a concise manner and be as specific as possible. Please limit documentation to necessary materials. After your application has been submitted, a member of the Foundation Grants Committee will contact you. At that time you will have an opportunity to share any materials and/or information before review by the entire Foundation Board. Please submit a separate application for each grant request.
