Welcome to De La Salle Collegiate High School's Admissions webpages.

 

On behalf of everyone in the Lasallian family, thank you for your interest.  We look forward to your future involvement with us here at De La Salle Collegiate. As you visit all the Admissions pages, you will find all the information needed to apply to De La Salle. These pages should give you a sense of DLS and the atmosphere parents and students can look forward to here.

Admissions Process The admissions process of acceptance here at De La Salle Collegiate High School starts early in the academic year.

We base acceptance on

  

  • Grades from the current school.
  • High School Placement Test (HSPT) score.
  • Whether the applicant has a relative who attended St. Joseph or De La Salle Collegiate High School.
  • Teacher comments from the Profile Form.
  • The student's and the family's desire for a De La Salle education.

 

Freshmen applicants should complete the following

  

  • De La Salle application with both essays completed.
  • The High School Placement Test (HSPT) - various test dates. 
  • The Archdiocesan Choice Cards.  Eighth-grade students complete the first and second choice cards when taking the High School Placement Test with the first choice school listed on the blue card and the second choice school listed on the pink card. De La Salle gives preference to first choice applicants, but will consider second choice students if room exists in the class.
  • Eighth Grade Student Profile.  This form, mailed to all students who list De La Salle Collegiate as their first or second choice, should be submitted to the student's school. A representative from his school should mail this report directly to De La Salle Collegiate.
  • Grades from seventh and eighth grade:  A copy of the student's seventh and eighth grade report cards should be submitted with the Admissions application.
  • Visit to the school (optional).
  • Letter of recommendation (optional)Teacher comments on the Profile Form.
