As part of our ongoing commitment toward a drug-free America, our school will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week during the week of October 27-31, 2014. The activities this year are as follows:
Monday, October 27th- “Wear Red Day”-Everyone is encouraged to wear red clothing.
Tuesday, October 28th- “Don’t Let Drugs Sneak Up on You”-Everyone is encouraged to wear their “sneakers” (tennis shoes).
Wednesday, October 29th- ““Sock It To Drugs Day”-Everyone is encouraged to wear crazy or red socks.
Thursday, October 30th- “Team Up Against Drugs Day”-Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite team shirt.
Friday, October 31st -“School Spirit Day-SBIES Takes a Stand Against Drugs-Everyone is encouraged to wear a SBIES shirt or blue and gold.
We are offering our students a chance (this is a voluntary assignment) to write a 50-75 word essay entitled, “How will living a drug free life affect my future?” The essays must be turned in to their teachers by Thursday, October 30th, 2014. We will select three essay winners from each grade. The winners will read their essays during the morning announcements and they will receive a prize.
