On March 1, Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey R. Gahler will host a “Public Discussion on School Safety”, in conjunction with Harford County Public Schools and Harford County Government. This is your opportunity to speak directly to your Law Enforcement and County leaders to provide input, suggestions, and concerns about the safety and security of our schools. Sheriff Gahler will be joined by County Executive Barry Glassman, Superintendent Barbara Canavan, Police Chiefs from Bel Air, Havre De Grace and Aberdeen, as well as, Local and State Elected Officials.
The town hall style meeting will be held in John Carroll School gymnasium from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday evening. Doors will open promptly at 6:30 p.m. Brief opening statements will be made by Sheriff Gahler, County Executive Glassman, and Superintendent Canavan, followed by a period for questions and comments from participants. Attendees will be asked to be mindful of the number of citizens who would like to voice their thoughts and limit comments to two minutes. Questions will be intermingled with audience comments from the attendees.
