Student Success Plans (SSPs) are individualized plans that are student driven and support student growth in three areas:
- Academic Development
- College/Career Development
- Social/Emotional/Physical Development
The purpose is to help students learn more about themselves, their strengths, and areas of interest . Students can set and monitor personal goals related to their own future planning.
SSPs are part of the secondary education reform legislation that took effect July 1, 2012
SSPs are a school-wide endeavor. Each year, students will work on a piece of their SSP independently, through classes, in Advisory, and with the School Counselors. Students will document SSP work in an electronic portfolio. Portfolios will be housed electronically in Naviance.
